1. Students read the story Marigolds over 2 class periods focusing on analyzing the theme of the story.
2. Students complete a plot diagram graphic organizer to help them identify and analyze the theme of Marigolds.
3. Students completed the WALTeR character activity for either Lizabeth or Miss Lottie to help them with their theme analysis.
